We don't only cater to their physical needs but strive to make every visit mentally and emotionally enriching through basic training exercises, cuddles, enrichment games and playtime, whether it's indoors or outdoors. About The Owner
Experience:
Over 35 years of experience with a variety of animals. I grew up with cats, dogs, guinea pigs, a ferret and, on occasion, would bring home a wounded rabbit or bird (usually a black crow) to nurse it back to health. I spent 6 years helping train service puppies for Leader Dogs for the Blind, located in Rochester Hills, MI. As a volunteer at Anderson Humane in Elgin I work with many breeds of dogs in a variety of sizes, personalities and temperaments and have hours of training with their animal behaviorist. When working in a shelter, it is of utmost importance to be able to read the signs a dog is displaying and know how to approach appropriately. This is knowledge I take with me on every visit.
Some things to expect during a visit or walk:
I'm an active person and am able to give your pup(s) fast-paced energetic walks or, if they prefer, we will have a leisurely, and just as enriching, sniffing walk. I also like to take time and teach basic cues or practice the ones they already know to keep them thinking. I will spend time with your cats engaging them with their toys and lots of cuddles if they are so inclined.
Peace of Mind
Handing your keys over to a virtual stranger is nerve-wracking. You are leaving behind two things that mean the most to you; your home and your pets. We do our best to alleviate your stress and make things go as smoothly as possible. We encourage you to check our references and reviews to ease your mind. Despite our best efforts, some people are understandably still nervous. We understand that, and do everything possible to help you feel comfortable so that you know for certain your pets and home are being cared for as if they were our very own.
